The Platinum Parrot Fish is an uncommon and controversial freshwater fish. These fish were bred through a lengthy process of hybridization, and while some hobbyists tend to avoid these fish, others enjoy their comical appearance and curious personalities.

Hi! I can’t seem to get my parrot-faced fish to stop breeding LOL. When I had her in a community tank the other fish were eating her fry. So I had a second aquarium and I just put her and her partner in that tank. Voila, we had another batch of fry only. Daddy was trying to eat them. So I moved daddy back into the community tank and left the fry with Mom in the other tank. We ended up with four new fish. I believe there are three males and one female because three of them are a lot larger and there is one smaller one. Anyway, mom had another batch so I moved The fry( who are much bigger now) into the community tank and left mom alone with her new fry. I’m going to be overrun by fish soon LOL. Is there anything that will stop mom from producing more fish. If I put her in the tank by herself is she still able to reproduce? I read that some fish can do that. Thank you for your info
