Hello Lightfish Community! Here is the designer guppy breeding setup I’m working with and I’m not expanding it furhter LOL. I am a retired biologist and have found a lot of pleasure in doing guppy genetics. In doing these experiments I am generating a bunch of GORGEOUS GUPPIES, with very desirable traits. I will soon hae them posted here. All of my guppies are either F1 or F2 hybrids. I experienced (like many of you likely) that the most beautiful guppies perish easily, are prone to disease, and don’t live long even if they are well maintained. I started this project to fix those problems and have been successful beyond what I expected. All I am using is 1 29 gallon tank as a mixer/breeder tank, 2 10 gallon tanks as directed breeder tanks, two 29 gallon tanks for sorting juviniles, a 36 gallon fry tank, and two 55 gallon tanks for holding adult male and females. The oldest tank is about 2 years old, the 55 gallon tanks are only 3 months old. Enjoying seeing everyone elses tanks on here as well! Anyone who wants to talk guppy genetics hit me up!
